Executive Directors and leaders of small charities face the impossible task of having to be everything to everyone, and an expert at many different fields of expertise. Through short-term contracts and coaching, Ainsley works with leaders and boards of small charities to help onboard new EDs, move through major organisational changes, increase resiliency to internal and external social and economic changes, and most importantly – get out of the endless cycle of daily task management and putting out fires, and onto the work of a leader – planning for the future and buidng a sustainable, high-impact agency.
Throughout her career, Ainsley has had extensive experience in small and medium sized charities, and has led or supported boards through common challenges, such as; board-ED tension due to Founders Syndrome; restructuring; closing major programs; leading mergers and acquisitions; and supporting a Board of Directors through the difficult decision to walk away from their strategic plan and intentionally shrink instead of expand.
